The crew for Meadowcrest Stables

This morning Henry and I went out to find our Christmas Tree.  Our trip was to Meadowcrest Stables – Christmas Tree Farm, not very far from our house. We met our crew who suggested we walk through the fields to see what we would like.

Open Fields

There were many fields with many trees. We were given directions about  the path to look for the kind and size of the trees.  We went off for a pleasant walk, there was fresh air – not too freezing – and we did see a lot of nice trees.

We decided!

It did not take long for us to find a handsome fat tree at the perfect size for us – and for the wooden dresser – where our Christmas trees always sit. Then we walked a little further from our tree spot so we could wave out our hands to call for help.  They were watching! This young man came by immediately. He carried it carefully, and loaded it into the wagon, and then into our little red car.

The Barn

The barn offers a chance to warm up – and possibly to buy some honey. We had a great time. Maybe tomorrow we will have time to organize our dining room, and dress our tree with beautiful ornaments.  It has been a great day.

Betsy – We really had a good time finding the Christmas tree – and it is starting to get very pretty at home.
