I picked up the newspaper which was thrown on the front porch. It was getting lighter, and raining gently. I was hoping the rain would stop soon.
But the backyard was very different. The trees admired themselves in mirrors We have been happy looking at the little green shoots around our garden. They have been making themselves visible for quite a while. Very exciting! But – it isn’t really spring. The soil is still frozen. I forgot those little green shoots enjoy their shallow soil. No matter. I know those shoots and they will bring us beautiful flowers. Pretty soon.
I’m always amazed by how much rain/water you have in your garden this time of year. We’re generally drier over here in this part of the country/state. But also, I’m on a hill, so the rainwater isn’t as stationary. Soon spring will be in full swing for both of us. 🙂
The sun is struggling this morning, but I believe that sun will soon be shining! I know there are tiny flowers greeting the day – and more will come.
