Summer brings all wonderful things. We have been watching out flowers every day to see which daylily will show up.  I do not know all the names, alas, but we can still see the beauties.

This lovely thing has just opened.  I am always surprised about the colors of the different flowers.

This new  lovely flower surprised me.  It is the only one that is by the sidewalk, and I am not sure there are any others, but I think the Lavender Daylily really is lovely.

I don’t know how to name these flowers, but they are flowers that I have enjoyed my whole life.  I think it must be an old flower, but there are lots of flowers that everyone knows.  And enjoy.

Our house has a sidewalk, and there is also the “tree belt” – kind of an interesting idea. Our tree belt is full of flowers, and you can see the sidewalk. We have lots of good friends on our street and some of them enjoy looking at our flowers.

These Scarlet Beebalms grow up to my chest and surprise me every year. I have a couple of spots that hold another group of the Scarlet Beebalms.  I really like them.

The big Button Bush is full of ‘buttons’, but the bush is full of honeybees. I was surprised the first time I knew that this bush does love honeybees – AND that the bees don’t cause any trouble so that is OK.

I hope you  will enjoy the idea that our garden has a big backyard full of flowers – and on the street.
