Some of the days of summer are beginning to lose the shades of these scarlet flowers that seem to rise to the tall trees.

These Cardinal flowers were found amongst the weeds and broken branches at the back of our garden- but they are still beautiful. I am so happy to look around our garden – and find these unexpected beauties.
I love finding beautiful plants in unexpected places!
Lovely! We too have cardinal flowers, and they attract the hummingbirds. Ours are going to seed now. I think that yours are doing well because they have a “wet space?” Yours are very tall. I hope to get to see your gardens very soon!
Susan – I’m glad that you saw that we had pretty birds with pretty colors – but suddenly the birds are not showing up. Maybe it is the gray world today.
