Snow Coming – Then Going

Our Blue House

You can see the snow falling on our house, and on the plants hiding in the snow.

Hellebores

The hellebores had grown in front of the wood fence and their leaves are still looking familiar.  But in the early spring it is flowers that bloom in beautiful form.

Snow in the Rose Garden

The roses, on the other side of the fence make the the largest single group of our roses. Other types of flowers – not roses – can live with wet areas.

Shrubs

We have a good group of other shrubs including Astilbe, Hosta, Epimedium, Alma Potchke aster,  Daylilies, Joe Pye Weed, Great Blue Lobelia,  and many more.

Krishna

Krishna, a major Hindu deity, sings amid the plants, but alas, he has lost his musical pipe. A friend gave us this figure, which was left out with a group  of  similar figures on the New York sidewalk,  We are very fond of our friend.

And now, just as I finish writing, the snow ended.  But it will return.

Very pretty scenes! We finally have some snow here in S. Wisconsin, too. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the winter has in store for us. Enjoy (if that’s what you like). 😉

Beth – I haven’t been reading recently, but I can tell you we have some pretty scenes today – with sufficient snow surrounding our house and now I am wondering if we will get any birds. We do have seeds at the ready.
