I had never met Mark Bittman, and in the beginning I never made much notice to his name, but now I am really paying attention to Mark Bittman who spent twenty-five years with his first book. But since five years ago he started to choose new interesting dishes, and I am starting to find those dishes too.

I was going to my library and spent time wandering around thinking about a number of interesting things, but then I saw Mark Bittman again! I had my own old How to Cook Everything but I was delighted to be able to borrow the How To Cook Everything – instantly, book in hand, from the Greenfield Public Library!

This is my old cook book which is very full of good food.

I was familiar with my old book, but when I saw that the single page by Mark Bittman I was surprised, but it is promising new meals, and I have already chosen some of the pages – Minestrone (supper tonight), Winter Squash Curry (delicious), Whole Wheat Farfalle with Roasted Sweet Potatoes – pretty, Shrimp and Scallion-Fry – can’t wait. I am also going through the beautiful Desserts – Chocolate, Cookies and Brownies, Cakes, Frostings/Glazes/Sauces – Pies, Frozen Desserts – and More!
I am in the kitchen, and happy, and I may show you the meals and treats. I hope you check in sometimes.

Henry is so lucky to be the recipient of your new creations!
Sounds like the perfect thing to do in the wintertime!
Kate – Henry is lucky – and I am lucky to have him!
Susan – I love the wintertime – and spread a lot of vegetables in the cold season – enjoying the delicious veggies we love eating!
I am feeling inspired!
Betsy – I can tell you we have already enjoyed our dinner with new pleasures. If you like I can send you a sheet. Love- Mom
Yum! Looks great Pat! Nick made his own chili powder from Bittman’s recipe last week, it is definitely the season for cozy cooking.
