On this Garden Blogger’s Bloom Day I will begin with a familiar English Holly. Very prickery, but beautiful red berries. Everyone is familiar with English Holly at this time of the year. However –
here in the USA we have our own beautiful Winterberries. They are not quite as leafy at this time of the year when the berries are at their best, but sprigs of berries can be used in decorations.
Even less common are the golden winterberries, with more leaves going into the season. These winterberries are very important to me because they love swamps. I love swamp loving plants. I have designed my garden to welcome swamp plants.
Finally, on this Bloom Day, it is time to say good-by to the Sheffield daisies who have been so energetic this fall.
Thank you Carol, for giving us the opportunity to share our gardens with every one.
Loveliness all the way around. Happy Bloom Day!
Beth – We get those colorful Berries all winter long!
