Daffodils

There has been a lot of rain, but in this bit of quiet, I can go outside to see how the garden is managing – and I see that there are daffodils that are actually blooming.  Along with those little blue scillas.

Bistort

You might find these green beginnings unexpected before you see the  pink or blue spikes when they bloom. They are very pretty, sitting at the bottom of our tree, and I will eventually see how Bistort is used for digestion problems.  I hadn’t known about this until just know.

Another Primrose

This is one of the largest ‘blossoms’ but there are a number of  small greenery that are growing bigger and taller. It will be a happy day when the flowers appear.

Lamb’s Ears

These plants are herbaceous perennials, usually densely covered with gray or silver-white, silky-lanate hairs. You can count that they will bloom later in the spring.

More Daffodils

This is the first Daffodil that is blooming in a big row of more daffodils – which were transplanted to the edge of our line because there were too many daffodils. Daffodils like to show themselves off every year – and I can tell you that  is really true.  Every year there are more and more daffodils.  When a friend asked for some of these flowers and I was very happy to give her some.

Hellebore

The hellebores around our fence are really beautiful and I am planning to collect more. But for now I am delighted to have these beautiful plants.
