Birds At Home

The birds are having a good meal.

There are no flowers (right now) but there are a LOT of birds!  Our dinner table is right by our window, Husband Henry has brought bags of bird feed to this spot, and we have a good time.  Even though this is not colorful, it is fun to watch the birds running in and out of the feeder.

Birds and Book

My son  gave us this book, How to Look at a Bird, Open Your Eyes to the Joy of Watching and Knowing Birds – by Clare Walker Leslie. It is a great gift because it gives us the chance to see lots of different birds. I get to see sparrows, pigeons, woodpeckers and lots more. I have been amazed by how many birds have their own colors and shapes and “songs.”

I envy your knowledge of the outdoors AND your beautiful yard! I know you are having a terrible winter. So are we here in Colorado, ie: NO SNOW! We look forward to being up there with Marianna and Andrew across Beech from you sometime in the fall, when we will be sure to come over and see COLOR = all the birds! Thank you for this fine post.
