Flowers by Green Bed

I enjoyed visiting the Kinsey Pope Garden in Amherst with the Greenfield Garden Club. It surprised me that there was so much to see and enjoy.

Bridge and Stones

The garden has many places that surprise.  I certainly didn’t expect the stones that made a whole river – although I have to say that there is not much water these days.

Pink Roses

I love pink roses, and they offer delight through the garden.

Pinky Balls

I don’t know exactly how these Pinkies operate but it is fun to see them. I think they’re dogwood fruit.

Pinky Blossoms

These pretty blossoms show off wherever they find a spot to grow and bloom.

Red and Yellow Blossoms

There is so much to tell you about this garden. There are flowers, berries, uncommon trees, a wide variety of textures, and I can tell you I was amazed with the beauties.  I am planning that I will enjoy it all again next year.

Hi Pat, I have those pink Japanese anemones in my yard too! I love them, and the bees love them, but they are “invasive!”

Susan – I’m glad you saw the garden that I saw and was fascinated, but I do agree that there is the ‘invasive

Betsy – I’m glad you saw the flowers, and the other trees’ etcetera.

I can see that you have an especial fondness for pink flowers, and I can hardly blame you!
