Bloom Day December

The cyclamen that I carried over from last year is looking a bit leggy, but the color is so beautiful and it is the one thing around here that is looking a little Christmas-y. I am very happy to have it.

The Abutilon or parlor maple is ever dependable. It hasn’t minded the 42 degree temperatures in our bedroom during the ice storm power outage.

Holdiday cactus are really wonderful carefree plants. The Thanksgiving cactus is still in bloom and the Christmas cactus is well budded, as is its much larger sister.

Love your indoor blooms. I also read the post after bloom day. Wow, that is a lot of ice. It’s a wonder you can go anywhere when it is like that!

Thanks for posting blooms for bloom day!

I love the indoor look at what’s going on! The Abutilon in particular is interesting – here in our mild clime we grow them outdoors for the hummingbirds to enjoy!

Genevieve, my abutilong lives on the piazza in the summer and enjoys the air, but I have to say the hummingbirds tend to stop at the beebalm and don’t make it as far as the abutilon.
